This UV dryer is used to instantaneously cure UV – curable coatings, inks, and adhesives applied to wood products. It is a crucial piece of equipment in coating line. It’s used to dry specially formulated coatings using ultraviolet light, replacing the traditional process of waiting hours for solvents to evaporate.

It enables high-speed, high-quality, and environmentally friendly wood finishing by using the power of ultraviolet light to instantly transform liquid coatings into a tough, durable solid film.
- It cures coatings in 3-10 seconds, which dramatically increases production speed, reduces floor space needed for drying racks, and allows for immediate handling and packaging.
- Uses mercury lamps or gallium lamps (for solid color) to produce the required UV spectrum.

Applications
Any substrate that is applied with the UV curable coating material.
- A liquid UV coating (e.g., primer, sealer, topcoat) is applied to the wood surface via spray, roller, or curtain coater.
- The coated workpiece conveyor moves into the UV dryer cabinet.
- Inside, high-intensity UV lamps emit light at a specific wavelength.
- This UV light triggers a photochemical reaction in the coating’s photoinitiators (special molecules sensitive to UV light).
- This reaction causes the coating’s resins and monomers to cross-link and polymerize instantly (in seconds), transforming from a liquid to a solid, durable finish.

The structure is built with 50*150mm high-strength square HSS & 3mm thick cold plate. It’s designed for reliability and minimal maintenance, ensuring consistent and uninterrupted operation.
